Regional Sales Managers

Top National Hosted Business VoIP provider looking to grow a national presence through the development of Interconnect, VARs and IT Consultant channel partners. The ideal candidate will be based in the region and should have 5 to 7 years successful channel sales experience with a track record of recruiting, developing regional partners, and getting them to close business.

We are also looking for International Sales development in the exploding hosted call center market. The regions may get broken into smaller districts in the major metros to enable a more nimble sales staff.

Tools Automation and QA Engineer

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Test automation and QA Engineer to work on our flagship product – Virtual Office. It is an excellent opportunity for someone who has extensive QA / Automation background and also looking to contribute to development efforts.

We are looking for a candidate that would be responsible for using and enhancing our in house automation tools to perform load tests. This candidate will be responsible for resurrecting some of the existing test framework functionality in the product, which will be used to run automated sanity tests. The candidate will also expect to contribute to sustenance/ maintenance efforts by fixing bugs/adding minor enhancements.

Responsibilities:

  • Take ownership of testing various aspects of this product.
  • Work closely with the developers to get requirements and define test plans.
  • Assess the suitability of existing (load) test framework, provide enhancements where required.
  • Conduct stress test, sanity tests and load/performance tests.
  • Highlight the areas of weak performance in product by backing it up with test results.
  • Work closely with developers where necessary to identify the performance bottlenecks.
  • Recommend/develop new testing tools.
  • Will be responsible for the quality of the product that is being released.
  • Will have considerable leeway in defining testing strategies for the Virtual Office product.
  • Contribute to product sustenance

Experience

Required:

  • A minimum of 5+ years of hands on Software QA/Automation experience with an enterprise class product.
  • Hands on experience with developing automation scripts frameworks/harnesses (not just use them).
  • Strong scripting skills (bash,perl).
  • Strong experience with Linux/Unix(Linux/Unix skills should be above user level and approaching sys admin level.
  • Experience with both white box and black box testing. 
  • Ability to work closely with developers in identifying, resolving issues.
  • Hands on experience with performance/load testing.
  • Hands on experience with JUnit.
  • Experience with Java.
  • Must have some network experience (Etheral)
  • Experience with Wireshark and protocol analysis
  • Excellent software/system troubleshooting skills.
  • Good interpersonal skills.
  • Bachelors or higher degree in Computer science or related field.

Desired :

  • Experience with Networking/VoIP industries.
  • Development experience with Java.

Marketing Communications Manager

8x8, Inc. (Packet8) is seeking a dynamic Marketing Communications Manager.

The Marketing Communications Manager is responsible for leading and executing effective marketing and corporate communications programs that support all 8x8 sales, marketing, and branding efforts. This is a hands-on position demanding a high level of decisive problem solving, organization, and attention to detail in planning, implementing and managing multiple program initiatives on compressed timelines. This individual will work independently and in collaboration with cross-functional teams to oversee all assigned marketing communications programs including messaging, campaign development, event coordination, lead generation, budget and resource management, and program evaluation. The Marketing Communications Manager reports directly to the Director of Marketing.

The ideal candidate will possess outstanding written and verbal communication skills, including strong grammatical and editing skills for developing clear and concise targeted messaging.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Protect and maintain corporate brand and messaging consistency across all channels and products.
  • Direct and manage all printed and online marketing communication programs, including brochures, direct mail, websites, email marketing, advertising, newsletters and presentations.
  • Develop and write marketing communications, including product/service brochures, website content, case studies, and newsletters.
  • Collaborate with sales and marketing, and other key departments, to ensure proper alignment of program objectives within the organization.
  • Coordinate design and production of all sales and marketing collateral and product packaging with outside design agency and print vendors.
  • Plan and manage all aspects of tradeshows, conferences, seminars, webinars, user groups and other events, including incentives, prizes and promotional giveaways.
  • Plan and manage department and campaign budgets, scheduling, project tracking, and program evaluation.
  • Assist with marketing activities for product launches and future product releases, including managing launch day activities and checklists to ensure all team members are on target with their deliverables.
  • Manage and assist lead generation marketing activities, including concept and content development for direct and outbound email campaigns, list management and database tracking to meet defined goals.
  • Utilize web analytics, marketing campaign metrics and customer data to continually test, measure and enhance lead generation programs.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Advertising, Business Communications, English or related field.
  • Five to 7 years of marketing communication experience with working knowledge of all phases of planning and execution of marketing programs; documented experience leading & managing programs from campaign development through execution and post-campaign analysis.
  • Independent self-starter with exceptional problem solving and organizational skills.
  • Proactive critical thinker with demonstrated analytical skills for evaluating data and developing strategic recommendations.
  • Proven track record of driving and attaining measurable and meaningful business results.
  • Strong project management skills, including experience managing multiple projects on tight, often shifting deadlines.
  • Ability to adjust to rapidly changing priorities in an fast-paced start-up environment.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills – copywriting experience desirable.
  • Experience adjusting the tone of communications for various audiences and media segments.
  • Demands a high degree of attention to detail, specifically with content and graphics; proofreading and proofing printed materials.
  • Must have proven marketing experience and solid technical knowledge in some area of telecommunications, including mobile, Centrex and PBX – VoIP knowledge is a plus.
  • An open and flexible collaborative work style.
  • Quick aptitude for learning new tools and processes.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
  • Up to 30% travel may be required for tradeshows, conferences, and other events.

Web QA Engineer

Basic Requirement:

  • Good understanding of Web Technologies – HTTP, HTTPS, Web service, Javascript, AJAX, .NET etc
  • Good understanding of Software Quality
  • Good understanding of Windows, Linux Operating systems
  • Good understanding of Application servers (Weblogic, JBoss)
  • Ability to write simple scripts (Microsoft Batch scripts, Unix Shell scripts, Java scripts)
  • Ability to understand and execute scripts (test cases) and report results.
  • To be able to setup simple automation (job scheduler, cron jobs etc)
  • Ability to write SQL queries (MySQL, Oracle and MS-SQL) for testing purposes

  • Good grasp of Complete Life-cycle of Software Quality.
  • System level expertise with ALL Windows OS, networking, browsers
